Job Description:
Roles & responsibilities:
In your role as director of sales, you will create a marketing strategy and related sales activities that you and the sales team will carry out to meet corporate objectives and sales targets. The sales staff will receive coaching, training, and ongoing development from the director of sales.
Director of Sales will carry out the following duties with the utmost care:
• Oversee hotel marketing and sales plans to make sure they appropriately reflect and uphold the company's goals. Then, utilize these plans to concentrate sales efforts across all market segments. Prepare corporate contracts for the hotel in compliance with current business and price conditions. Collaborate closely with the senior management team to identify and drive targeted initiatives in business areas that require further support.
• Work closely with the group coordinator to monitor options, discounts, and offers for recurring reservations for conferences, seminars, and groups.
• Lead by example in terms of sales development and assist in hiring team members and their future success.
• Develop the group team through leadership and example-setting. In order to ensure accurate, timely, and comprehensive information, oversee and manage the forecasting process in collaboration with the revenue department. Assist in compiling and/or overseeing the creation of reports related to the sales department's operations, such as the monthly and annual forecasts, the lead management system, and booking reports.
• Actively participate in and complete the preparation of the annual sales and marketing plan, quarterly updates, and the complexed hotels' annual budgets. Implement plans and actions quickly to counteract changes in the economy, markets, or competitive landscape. Carry out initiatives as delineated. Plan group and related meetings and arrange to attend them.
• Support the company's sales and marketing activities by suggesting, carrying out, and keeping an eye on relevant local activity.
• Arrange detailed material on the variety of goods and services the hotel provides, and send this information to both current and prospective guests via appropriate sales channels and resources.
• Generate timely, accurate reports that satisfy the requirements of the management business and the hotel.
• Compile and deliver to the hotel owners and senior management team, once a month, the proactive sales team's focus, activity, and contribution.
• Cooperate with other departments in the hotel, particularly Reservations and the Banqueting Department, to create an exceptional Guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales programs
• Participate in pertinent management meetings to create and carry out campaigns for sales and marketing.

• A degree from an academic institution in a suitable business subject, such as business development or sales.
